Why it works for runners

A ponytail that slides down halfway through a run is annoying, and peeling a sweaty hair tie off afterward is worse. Buckle Scrunchies wrap 2 to 4 times and hold through miles of bounce. Back home, click the buckle open and it unwraps, so damp hair comes down without snagging.

How to use Buckle Scrunchies

1. Tying up your hair

  • Start with the buckle closed
  • Hold the buckle so you know where it is
  • Wrap 2 to 4 times around your hair like a normal hair tie
  • Buckle wraps around last, so it can be the first thing to come off!

2. Taking down your hair

  • Locate the buckle (should be around the outside loop)
  • Press the sides of the buckle with the fleshy part of your fingers to click it open
  • Hold both ends of the buckle if you have thicker or curlier hair so it doesn't get lost or tangled
  • Let it unwrap and twirl out of your hair. Remember, there's no need to pull anymore!

FAQ

Questions, answered

Everything people ask about Buckle Scrunchies for runners.

See how it works
01 What hair band stays in while running?

One you can wrap snug that doesn't slide with every stride. A Buckle Scrunchie wraps 2 to 4 times at the tension you choose, so it holds through long runs.

02 How do I stop my ponytail from tangling on a run?

Most of the knotting shows up when you pull the tie off sweaty hair. Click the Buckle Scrunchie open and let it unwrap, so it comes out without dragging through the snarls.

03 Should runners wear a high or low ponytail?

High if you want it off your neck, low if you wear a hat or visor. Either way, wrap a Buckle Scrunchie snug and it will stay where you put it.
